This structural plan detail shows a column base plate layout with six anchor rods and washers arranged symmetrically about the column profile. A one-inch diameter grout hole is provided at the center of the base plate at the contractor's option. Complete joint penetration welds are specified at each flange and the web connecting the column to the base plate. Dimensions and spacings are indicated with equal spacing variables for the width and length.
