Continuous bent plates or angles fabricated from three-eighth-inch steel or twelve-gauge sheet metal provide edge or intermediate support for metal decking resting on wide flange beams sized per plan. In perpendicular configurations, an L3x3x3/16 angle or continuous bent plate attaches with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds, while parallel conditions utilize a continuous twelve-gauge bent plate welded to the beam top flange. Typical reinforcing steel is embedded within the concrete fill above the deck. Fillet welds of various sizes secure the assembly with specified maximum clearances and spacings.
