A pipe davit with a future maximum load capacity of five thousand pounds mounts to a six-inch extra-strong steel pipe supported by a structural steel beam. The pipe passes through a concrete slab on metal deck and connects via a Grade 50 base plate measuring one and one-quarter inches by twelve inches by one foot zero inches. A half-inch stiffener plate welds to the supporting beam and plate with five-sixteenths inch fillet welds on three sides. A Grade 50 top plate measuring seven-eighths inch by ten and three-quarters inches by seven and one-half inches secures the upper pipe assembly. The supporting beam connects to the main framing via a full-depth beam-to-beam connection per typical details.
