Utility trenches running parallel to a foundation footing must maintain a minimum eighteen inch clear horizontal distance from the footing edge. No excavation or digging for pipe trenches is permitted within the restricted boundary zone defined beneath the footing slope. Backfill materials must be properly placed and compacted in accordance with the geotechnical report and pier recommendations. Sloped excavation limits follow a two-to-one slope profile extending downward from the footing bearing level.
