Metal grating is supported on a wide flange beam using manufacturer-specified bolt-down grating clips, with grating splices centered directly over the beam. A depressed beam configuration utilizes an L5x3x3/8 angle support welded to the wide flange beam web with quarter-inch fillet welds spaced at three to twelve inches. Grating panels in both configurations meet at a splice joint centered over the structural support.
