A CoreBrace buckling-restrained brace connects to a structural steel column and steel beam framing intersection using a gusset plate. Stiffener plates are provided near side and far side on the column and beam flanges as required by the manufacturer. Welds secure the gusset plate to the column and beam flanges, with complete joint penetration welds specified at the flange connections. A work point is established at the intersection of the member centerlines, and the connection is typical at the brace top.
