A wood nailer matching the steel beam flange width is secured using seven-eighth-inch diameter welded threaded rods spaced at sixteen inches on center centered on the beam with a maximum three-quarter-inch countersink. Threaded rods are placed a maximum of nine inches from each end of the nailer and from each splice. Subpurlins per plan flank the assembly, and a steel beam per plan provides structural support beneath. Boundary nailing secures the sheathing. Pipe penetration provisions include up to five-inch diameter maximum holes for pipes at ten feet on center where required, with the pipe centerline located between eight and fifteen inches below the sheathing.
