An HSS 6x4 elevator separator beam connects to a structural steel framing member using an L8x6x1/2 angle clip with long legs vertical, cut to fit. The angle connects to the supporting steel with three-sixteenth inch fillet welds. The HSS beam connects to the angle using one-quarter inch fillet welds with a three inch minimum length. A two inch minimum clearance is maintained unless noted otherwise.
