The concrete footing bears on engineered structural fill extending down to native soils sized per plan and the soils report. A stem wall rises from the footing to support a concrete slab-on-grade over a free draining granular base and vapor barrier. Exterior finish grade slopes away from the structure with backfill placed against the stem wall. A minimum six-inch clearance is maintained from finish grade to the top of the foundation wall.
