Steel beams frame into a hollow structural section column with three-quarter inch Grade 50 top and bottom flange plates welded via partial-joint-penetration grooves. The beam webs connect to the column with standard bolted beam connections. Fillet welds reinforce the plate and web assemblies where specified by thickness parameters.
