A continuous bent plate of three-sixteenths inch thickness is welded to the top flange with a one-eighth-inch fillet weld at two inches to twelve inches spacing. Additional support conditions use continuous L4x4x3/8 angles or L4x4x1/4 plates bent at twenty-four inches on center with six inches from each end, welded with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds.
