A cold-formed steel header track frames into a vertical jamb stud, supported by a cripple stud extending six inches minimum to match the jamb. The header track has its flanges extended on each side of the jamb, secured with screws on each side of the stud. The web of the track is bent and fastened to the jamb with screws. A cripple stud connects to the header track using screws matching the jamb specification.
