A one-inch metal deck depression is framed over a structural steel beam supporting a concrete topping slab. A bent plate is positioned at each side of the depressed deck transition, bearing on ledger support plates attached underneath. Quarter-inch fillet welds secure the plates at each ledger support plate connection.
