A pipe sleeve passes through a metal roof deck and is sealed or covered by an 18-gauge square plate fastened with number 10 sheet metal screws at 6 inches on center each way. A plan view shows dimensioned square plates measuring 12 inches, 24 inches, and 36 inches square with corresponding internal spacing. The plate centers the vertical pipe sleeve over the roof deck opening.
