The steel girt is supported by a hollow structural section opening support jamb and connected using two 7/8 inch diameter bolts through a L4x4x3/8 angle measuring 0 feet 9 inches long. A 1/2 inch stiffener plate is centered on the angle, which is welded to the column with a 3/16 inch fillet weld. An insulated metal panel assembly is mounted on the exterior face by others.
