A davit socket pedestal plate measuring three-quarters of an inch by twelve inches square is welded to the top flange of the supporting beam with a three-eighths inch fillet weld. A half-inch by ten-inch stiffener plate is welded to each side of the beam web with a quarter-inch fillet weld. A half-inch stiffener plate is installed between the column flanges, welded to the column web and flanges with five-sixteenths inch fillet welds. The beam frames into the column with a bolted connection while aligning with the centerline of the davit, beam, and column.
