An HSS6x4x3/8 hollow structural section elevator rail support is welded to a three-quarter-inch thick by seven-inch by one-foot-zero-inch steel base plate with a quarter-inch fillet weld. The assembly is anchored to the top of the concrete slab using two three-quarter-inch threaded rods with an eight-inch epoxy embedment. A one-inch plus or minus non-shrink grout layer is provided typically beneath the base plate.
