A concrete slab over a metal floor deck bears on a supporting steel beam with an adjustable clearance zone from twelve to twenty-eight inches. The steel beam connects to a perpendicular steel beam via a bolted shear tab referenced on sheet S802. A web stiffener plate is welded to the supporting steel beam with an inclined brace referenced on sheet S601. Adjustments up to six inches are provided for architectural clearance.
