The assembly features a 1'-4" by 1'-4" by 1" reinforced elastomeric bearing pad positioned parallel to the girder centerline at the abutment backwall. The top of the pad is coated with silicone grease and covered with a 0.079-inch galvanized sheet metal cover. Expansion joint filler and expanded polystyrene are incorporated around the bearing area with detailed dimensions including 3-inch, 8-inch, and 2-inch offsets.
