Two precast concrete panels are joined together using embedded steel connection plates and reinforcing bars. A three-quarter-inch by one-and-a-half-inch plate measuring one foot four inches long spans the joint, flanked by half-inch by one-foot plates anchored by two number eight bars four feet long on each side. Welds sized at one-quarter inch connect the steel plates, with block-out and patch details specified for the concrete recess.
