A structural wide-flange column bears on a base plate atop a concrete foundation with a layer of non-shrink grout. Anchor bolts embedded to a specified minimum depth secure the assembly, fitted with typical leveling nuts. The top of the concrete slab on grade establishes the elevation reference relative to the top of the foundation.
