An HSS 8x4x1/4 stub member extends from the structural steel column to support the exterior eyebrow girt. A 3/8-inch square end plate is welded to the stub with a quarter-inch fillet weld on two sides for a minimum of 3 inches, and fastens to the girt using four three-quarter-inch diameter bolts. An 'Amramatherm' 500 thermal break system is installed between the mating end plates. The assembly interfaces with a concrete slab over metal deck and cold-formed steel framing consisting of 1200S162-43 studs and 1200T200-54 tracks spaced at 16 inches on center.
