A steel deck perimeter edge condition features a continuous bent closure plate and outrigger assembly. The L5x5x3/8 outrigger is spaced at 10 feet on center maximum and connects to a full-height 3/8-inch stiffener plate using two 3/4-inch diameter A325-SC bolts. An L3 1/2x3 1/2x1/4 kicker angle ties back to the assembly with two 3/4-inch diameter A325-SC bolts at each end. The metal decking continues over the support and is secured to the closure plate with scheduled puddle welds. Closure plates conform to ASTM A36 and are installed with shim plates as required.
