A hollow structural section member connects to another hollow structural section column using a six by seven by three-eighths inch end plate. The end plate is welded top and bottom with a quarter-inch fillet weld. All-thread rods spaced at twenty-four inches on center maximum run through the intersecting hollow structural section members. A six-inch maximum dimension is maintained from the connection point.
