A secondary steel beam connects to the web of a primary supporting steel beam using a bolted shear tab and four high-strength bolts. A vertical beam web stiffener is welded to the web of the supporting steel beam directly aligned with the framing beam reaction. Above the steel framing, a concrete slab is poured over a metal floor deck sized per structural plans.
