A cold-formed steel framing connection at a jamb stud utilizes an alternate clip angle configuration. The assembly incorporates a header track sized to match the stud width, secured with a cut track or a 54 mil 1-1/2 inch by 1-1/2 inch steel angle fastened with number 10 screws to each leg. An eight-inch long stud section matches the jambs and is fastened with six number 10 screws. Connections utilize number 10 screws on near and far sides with a maximum one-eighth inch gap maintained.
