A structural steel beam connects to a column using a 7/8-inch by 2-foot 6-inch Grade 50 knife plate slotted into the framing members. Three 3/8-inch stiffener plates at 4-inch gauge are centered beneath the joint, welded with 1/4-inch fillets. A 3/4-inch by 1-foot 2-inch plate includes two 3/4-inch diameter erection bolts on each side. A 3/4-inch by 6-inch stabilizer plate bridges the truss girder below, left unwelded to the girder as noted. Welds measure 7/16-inch and 5/16-inch at the respective structural intersections.
