A steel channel connects to an overhead hollow structural section hanger using a bolted shear plate connection. Three bolts secure the channel web to the shear plate, maintaining a one-half inch clearance from the structural elements. Member sizes and additional connection details are coordinated per the framing plan and referenced detail.
