A hollow structural section post aligns with the face of the architectural cladding and intersects a structural steel framing beam at Level 2. The hollow structural section post features a quarter-inch cap plate with a seal weld at the top. Two seven-eighths-inch diameter through-bolts fasten the connection through five-sixteenths by ten-inch plates on each side with vertical slotted holes. A structural steel beam supports the floor assembly, braced below by a kicker member.
