A structural steel column and buckling-restrained brace connection anchor to a concrete foundation. A base plate supports the steel column centered on the plate, with non-shrink grout up to a maximum of four inches placed around the leveling nuts. A gusset plate connects the brace per the manufacturer specifications, utilizing welded and bolted connections. The concrete footing includes top and bottom reinforcement per plan, a concrete topping slab, and additional reinforcement. Three-quarter by five by five inch F436 plate washers are provided at all tension anchors.
