A glulam beam bears on a glulam column with a custom bearing plate sized to match the column width. An inner hollow structural section sleeve of HSS6.625x0.432 and an outer sleeve of HSS7.5x0.375 connect to the bearing plate with a quarter-inch weld. Two three-quarter-inch diameter pins secure the sleeve to the bearing plate assembly. Nine Simpson SDCF22858 fasteners attach the beam to the column hanger following the spacing and pattern shown on the reference detail. A concrete slab sits above the beam with reinforcing per schedule.
