Steel beams frame into opposite sides of a steel column with complete joint penetration groove welds on the top and bottom flanges. Shear tabs bolted to the beam webs provide vertical support during erection. Continuous plates matching the thickness of the beam flanges are welded to each side of the column web at the top and bottom flange alignments. Backer bars are removed where exposed to view. Cantilever beam sizes match adjacent back span beam sizes unless otherwise noted.
