A wide-flange beam supports an outrigger and a glulam or glued-laminated beam via a 1/2-inch by 8-inch hanger plate and seat plate with mounting screws. Full-depth stiffener plates are welded to the wide-flange beam web using quarter-inch fillet welds on both sides. A three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld connects the hanger assembly, and an outrigger per sheet S7.04 ties into the top flange with a three-sixteenth-inch weld. Sheet references direct the builder to detail 12 on sheet S7.04 for the wide-flange connection and typical bucket detail.
