A back-to-back cold-formed steel stud column bears on a continuous bottom track located above an existing concrete slab on grade with a minimum five-inch thickness. The stud column assembly is secured using number twelve screws on each side, with four total screws connecting the back-to-back members. A three-eighths-inch diameter Simpson Titen HD screw anchor with a minimum two-and-three-quarter-inch embedment anchors the assembly to the concrete slab below.
