A quarter-inch by fifteen-inch by two-foot three-inch plate designated as S1 is secured with four three-quarter-inch diameter expansion anchors with a three-and-a-quarter-inch minimum embedment at twelve inches on center in the deck flute. A four-by-three-by-five-sixteenth-inch angle with a one-foot length is welded to the plate with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds at each end of the angle. A bond beam wall supports the assembly, maintaining a typical steel deck parallel to wall gap of one and a quarter inches. Expansion anchors must be located a minimum of six inches from the edge of the concrete in any direction.
