Reinforcing bar placement occurs at concrete masonry unit wall corners and intersections. Number five vertical bars are positioned at the center of the wall with one inch of clear space for two-bar reinforcement. Corner bars of size number five are provided for each bond beam bar, extending three feet in each direction. A typical wall section details the bond beam and vertical bar layout.
