A brace end collar plate assembly connects to a hollow structural section brace casing. The connection incorporates a three-inch by four-inch painted surface scratch plate fastened with a quarter-inch diameter screw. The screw is tightened until indented into the paint scratch reference line. A one-quarter-inch thick by one-inch plate is welded with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds typically. An eighth-inch track connects to the brace end collar plate assembly using a quarter-inch diameter screw.
