An outrigger formed by a continuous C8x11.5 vertical channel spaced at forty-eight inches on center maximum and two feet from the column centerline supports the exterior metal panel enclosure. Continuous L3x3x1/4 angles and C8 outriggers tie back to the structural steel column. A three-eighths-inch full depth stiffener plate is welded to the beam web with a quarter-inch fillet weld. A bottom flange brace is installed as detailed on plan, tied to a three-eighths-inch by five-inch plate as required. Eight-inch metal studs are positioned behind the vertical channel for backup framing.
