A tube steel handrail post is set into a two-inch diameter pipe sleeve embedded in a concrete curb, filled with non-shrink grout. The pipe sleeve is welded to a three-by-three-by-one-quarter-inch plate anchored within the reinforced concrete slab and ramp construction. A cold joint separates the curb from the six-inch concrete slab reinforced with number three bars at eighteen inches on center each way. The foundation includes a continuous footing with number five continuous bars and number three continuous bars at the bottom with three-inch clearance.
