A continuous bent plate measuring one-quarter inch by five inches connects the metal deck assembly below the bottom flange of a steel beam. The bent plate is secured with a three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld spaced at three to twelve inches. The vertical offset between the top of the deck and the beam bottom flange is limited to a maximum of one foot zero inches.
