Roof joist bridging connects to a steel beam and an existing tilt-up concrete wall. A continuous bent plate measuring 1/4" by 28" by 3" is anchored to the wall with a continuous angle secured by 1/2" diameter by 5" Kwik Hus-Ez anchors at 48" on center, with the bent plate left unattached to the bearing angle. An HSS 5x5x1/4 member is provided between the joists for shear transfer and connection of the plate and metal deck. Steel joists support a metal roof deck, featuring an L4x3x1/4 angle between joist ends with the top leg coped as required for connection. L4x4x1/4 kickers are placed at 48" on center, connected via 1/2" by 5" plates and single 3/4" diameter A325N bolts.
