Two-sided beam-to-beam shear tab connections frame into a supporting steel girder with conditions for both greater than and less than one inch of beam depth difference. A shear plate is welded to the supporting girder and bolted to the web of each incoming beam with bolts sized and spaced per AISC specifications. When beam depth differences exceed one inch, a WT shape matching the flange width is welded to the underside of the lower beam with a quarter-inch fillet weld and extended two feet. Weld backup plates are omitted from the graphical representation for clarity.
