This structural connection detail shows a steel deck running parallel to a masonry wall with a bond beam. The steel deck bears on a 1/4-inch by 15-inch by 2-foot embed plate anchored into the deck flute using four 1/2-inch diameter expansion anchors with a 4-inch minimum embedment at 12 inches on center. An L4x3x5/16 by 1-foot long angle is connected to the plate with 3/16-inch fillet welds at each end of the angle. A typical top of wall gap is maintained between the deck and the wall assembly.
