A CoreBrace buckling-restrained brace connects to a gusset plate slotted to receive the brace assembly at a floor level. The gusset plate ties into a structural steel beam supporting concrete over a steel deck. A one-half-inch stiffener plate is welded to the near side and far side of the gusset with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. The gusset and brace attachment design is provided by CoreBrace.
