A hollow structural section canopy member connects to a half-inch by eight-inch by one-foot-zero-inch steel plate embedded in a precast concrete wall panel. The embed plate features four number six bent reinforcing anchors, with two at the top and a total of two per plate, welded with full penetration welds. The hollow structural section framing is attached with a one-quarter-inch fillet weld, typical. Wire mesh is tack-welded to the steel and the pocket is filled with non-shrink grout after welding. Clearances and recesses are specified per the panel elevation and architectural drawings.
