The concrete pier section is reinforced with fourteen number eight vertical bars with ninety-degree hooks into the footing. Transverse reinforcement consists of number four ties spaced at three inches on center at the top and six inches on center for the balance typical. Nine number five U-bars provide top lap with the vertical pier reinforcing over a length of forty-eight inches. The pier dimensions are sized per plan with a top of pier elevation referenced accordingly.
