A collector connection links a collector plate to a braced frame column centerline. The connection utilizes six one-inch diameter A490-N bolts with horizontal short-slotted holes provided at the top and bottom bolt locations, similar to detail 1/S-501. Four additional one-inch diameter A490-N bolts with vertical short-slotted holes are spaced equally along the beam depth. A continuous plate is detailed per detail 1/S-521, and the gusset plate is also referenced to detail 1/S-521. The collector plate connects to the column per detail 2/S-816, maintaining specified minimum edge distances and spacings.
