A square steel base plate measuring three-quarters of an inch thick by twelve inches square is centered on the intersecting centerlines of the davit, beam, and column. A three-inch minimum clearance is maintained from the plate edge to the supporting structural members. The assembly aligns the vertical davit pipe directly over the intersecting framing members.
