A hollow structural section beam frames into an hollow structural section column utilizing a bottom angle seat and a top plate. A three-quarter-inch-diameter A307 through bolt passes vertically through the top plate, the hollow structural section beam, and the horizontal leg of a three-by-three-by-quarter-inch angle that measures four inches in length. The vertical leg of the angle and the top plate are welded to the hollow structural section column with quarter-inch fillet welds.
