A canopy tie rod connects to an exterior wall constructed of metal studs or CMU with type C backing. The assembly uses a one-inch diameter standard pipe space with a three-by-three-by-quarter-inch plate washer at all fastener connections. Fasteners are installed per the canopy manufacturer requirements.
